Formative Assessment:
Portfolios, Observation sheets, project-based work, anecdotal records, worksheets, role plays and oral presentation.
Summative Assessment:
Oral test, paper-pencil test, assignment, questions on pictures and discussions.
There would be two terms in the session
a. Internal Assessment (20 marks): Periodic Test – 5 marks, Portfolio – 5 marks, Multiple Assessment – 5 marks, Subject Enrichment – 5 marks
b. Half Yearly Exam (80 marks)

P – Proficient, D – Developing and E - Evolving
VI – VIIIA – Outstanding, B – Very Good and C - Fair
Part I – Scholastic Assessment
The assessment scheme will have an 80 marks component for Board Examination (Class X) and Annual Examination (Class IX) in all subjects except compulsory subjects to be assessed internally along with a 20 marks component of Internal Assessment. Students have to secure 33% in total in each of the components.
OVERALL GRAND TOTAL – 100 marksa. Internal Assessment (20 marks):
Periodic Test – 5 marks (Three periodic tests would be conducted and average of the best two would be taken for final marks), Portfolio – 5 marks, Multiple assessment – 5 marks, and Subject enrichment – 5 marks
b. Annual Examination/Board Examination (80 marks)

Note: Promotion Policy for class IX-X or changes in any other areas as per CBSE Circulars will be duly informed.There will be two unit tests, Half Yearly & Annual Examination.
