Code of conduct for the students

  • Every student is required to bring the student's diary with him/her to school every day.
  • Diary should be maintained and kept properly in all respects. In case it is lost, a new one shall have to be purchased on payment.
  • Always get the parents'/guardian's signature whenever required or else a student may not be allowed to sit in the class.
  • Note down all instructions regarding homework and class work in the diary.
  • On all working days, children are expected to wear the uniform prescribed for the session or as announced for a special occasion. Hair style should be maintained as informed by the class teacher. Students are not allowed to keep beard or colour their hair.
  • The students should reach school on time. Those coming late would be sent back home.
  • The student should realise that the school property is a national trust and as such its upkeep is as much their responsibility as that of the administration. Therefore, no one should disfigure the furniture or deface the walls with pencil, ink, colour etc. Theft or damage of any type of the school property will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The person involved will be penalised according to the seriousness of the offence.
  • No student shall be allowed to go out of the school during school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • All students are expected to maintain perfect discipline and inculcate good learning habits.
  • The students are expected to observe perfect silence in reading room in library and while moving through the corridors.
  • No student is permitted to leave the class or miss a lecture without permission of the concerned teacher.
  • Students are required to maintain cleanliness by making use of dustbins provided at various places and in the classroom.
  • Students are supposed to be well behaved, courteous and polite in their dealings.
  • Students must show proper respect to the teacher and carry out their instructions most faithfully.
  • Students absent on 15th August & 26th January would have to Pay Rs. 150/- as penalty.
  • Students found guilty of infringement of the above rules of conduct and discipline shall be liable for action.
 

Forbidden

  • Participation in any act prejudicial to national interest
  • Moral turpitude
  • Practice casteism, communalism or untouchability
  • Theft or cheating
  • Rowdism or other insolent behaviour
  • Use of violence in any form
  • Any form of gambling
  • Use of drugs or intoxicants
  • Smoking
  • Disfiguring or otherwise damaging school property
  • Truancy
  • Use of Mobile / Cell Phone other electronic devices and smart watches.
  • Use of two wheelers by students without license
  • Any form of sexual intimacy between students in school premises.
  • Spreading misinformation / morphed images about students, parents or school staff on cyber space or through messaging apps.
  • Bringing or discharging any type of firecracker.
  • Aggression and use of indecent language.

School Rules

  • School students are required to attend the school assembly and observe order and decorum befitting the occasion.
  • Pupils suffering from contagious/infectious disease shall not be permitted to attend the school. A student returning to school after an infectious disease should produce a fitness certificate from MH/ Medical specialist.
  • Children would go home only with parents or with any other responsible person carrying an authority letter from the parents every time he / she wishes to move out.
  • The school is not responsible for the loss of goods. Students are advised not to bring valuables or cash to the school and in case of loss, school shall not be responsible for the same.
  • Visitors are not allowed to enter the school campus except during visiting hours.
  • Entry to class rooms/staff rooms is strictly forbidden for all visitors.

Disciplinary Measures

The following disciplinary measures may be adopted by the school in dealing with erring pupils/ defaulter who indulge in any of the forbidden practices enlisted above:
(I) Warning (ii) Fine (iii) Rustication for the specified period (iv) Expulsion

To maintain the rules, conduct and discipline as mentioned in the Diary and above, a card system to inculcate a sense of discipline among the students is introduced which is as follows:

The Yellow card will be issued with sense of warning to the students. A maximum of two yellow cards will be issued with a diary note by the class teacher to the parent and some reformative punishment for a student. CT will also note the issuance of yellow card to student in the student’s file.

In case there is no reforming tendency or the child still indulges himself in any of the indisciplinary act (after 2 yellow cards), then blue cards will be issued. The issue of blue cards also indicates a written warning letter to the parents and a written explanation from parents’ side. A maximum of two Blue cards can be issued to a student. The blue card, along with warning letter may also involve bar on involvement in any co-curricular activities or school event for a max period of 4 months or rustification for a maximum of 15 days.

If the child still doesn’t follow the code of conduct or is involved in any of the forbidden practice, Red card will be issued. If the child shows complete irresponsibility and still indulges in gross indisciplinary act the issue of red card will initiate the process of rustification of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 30 days. Maximum of one red card can be issued. After the issue of red card, further indiscipline case will result in immediate explusion.
